Implantology

Expertise in dental implants in Martinique (Le Lemantin) with Madinina Smile.

Implantology involves replacing one or more missing teeth. It aims to recreate an artificial root made of titanium, a biocompatible metal. This metal is not considered foreign by the body, and therefore the risk of rejection is greatly reduced.

This implant will then serve as an anchor for fixed prosthetic elements (crowns, bridges) or removable prosthetics (resin prostheses). Implant placement may require specific procedures depending on the patient’s needs, such as a sinus lift or a bone graft, if the practitioner deems it necessary. Our facility places great emphasis on operating conditions to ensure that procedures are performed optimally.

Dental bone grafting

Bone grafts are designed to increase jaw volume, promoting long-term fixation of dental implants.

The latest-generation 3D X-rays available at Madinina Smile allow us to accurately diagnose bone defects and develop an ideal treatment plan for each patient.

We distinguish between autologous bone grafts, which can be obtained from the patient’s own jaw, and synthetic grafts or xenografts of animal origin (usually bovine or porcine) processed in the laboratory.

The use of resorbable or non-resorbable membranes is a very common measure to create a barrier between the graft and the soft tissues, promoting proper osseointegration.
